Doris J. Brandmeyer, 82, of New Baden, died Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville. She was born June 27, 1930 in Belleville, daughter of Clemens and Esther (Muckensturm) Wuest. She married Frank H. Brandmeyer on June 29, 1949 at St. Mary’s Church in Belleville and he preceded her in death on July 14, 2001. Doris is survived by her children, Judy (Jim) Fuehne of New Baden, Tom (Barb) Brandmeyer of Albers, Denny (Bev) Brandmeyer of Albers, Mary (Chuck) Lozier of Collinsville, Steve (Jeanne) Brandmeyer of St. Charles, MO, Jeff (special friend, Lisa Chrisco) Brandmeyer of St. Louis, MO, and Angie (Matt) Oelrich of New Baden; 13 grandchildren, Craig (Sarah) Fuehne, Jill Boehne, Lauren (Joseph) Cleeton, Nathan (Jill) Brandmeyer, Lindsay (Eric) Timmermann, Rachel (Billy) Faust, Luke Brandmeyer, Katie (Brandon) Corbin, Cassidy Lozier, Sara Brandmeyer, and Jacqueline Oelrich, Madeline Oelrich and Brandon Oelrich; 10 great-grandchildren, Elizabeth & Caroline Fuehne, Alex & Claire Boehne, Charlotte Cleeton, Alayna & Mason Brandmeyer, Jackson Timmermann, and Will & Raelyn Faust; and sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Marie and Edgar Netemeyer of Albers, and Viola Brandmeyer of Damiansville. In addition to her husband and her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Gerard Brandmeyer, in infancy; three grandchildren, Patrick Fuehne, Megan Oelrich and Justin Brandmeyer; a sister, Arleen Dix; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Henrietta Brandmeyer, Joe and Lorrine Brandmeyer, George Brandmeyer, Frances and Ray Wiegmann, Anthony “Tony” Brandmeyer, Rev. William Brandmeyer, Ollie Brandmeyer and Clara Brandmeyer. Doris was a homemaker. She was a member of St. George Parish in New Baden. She enjoyed crocheting and her dog, Tina. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at St. George Catholic Church in New Baden with Rev. Eugene Neff officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in New Baden. Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2013 and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Hempen Funeral Home in New Baden. Memorials may be made to Western Clinton County Senior Services or St. George Parish Capital Campaign and will be received at the funeral home.
