Justin Gerard Brandmeyer, 27, of Belleville, formerly of New Baden, died Sunday, July 22, 2007 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was born January 18, 1980 Belleville, son of Tom and Barb (Behrman) Brandmeyer. He is survived by his parents, Tom and Barb Brandmeyer of Albers; a daughter, Alayna Jean Brandmeyer of Carlyle; one brother, Nathan Brandmeyer and special friend Jill Kissinger of Belleville; one sister, Lindsay Brandmeyer of Aviston; grandparents, Urban "Shorty" and Dorothy Behrman of Albers and Doris Brandmeyer of New Baden; aunts and uncles, Judy and Jim Fuehne, Denny and Bev Brandmeyer, Mary and Chuck Lozier, Steve Brandmeyer, Jeff Brandmeyer, Angie and Matt Oelrich, Gary Behrman, Glenn "Shorty" and Theresa Behrman, Clyde "Balls" and Peggy Behrman, Cindy and Mike Korte, Brenda Isert, Kevin and Vicky Behrman, and Kris Behrman; he is also survived by cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Frank Brandmeyer; an uncle, Gerard Brandmeyer and cousins, Patrick Fuehne and Megan Oelrich. Mr. Brandmeyer was an ophthalmologist technician at Retina Vitreous Consultants in St. Louis, MO. He was a graduate of Mater Dei High School, class of 1998, after which he attended Southwestern Illinois College in Belleville. Justin cherished every moment spent with his daughter, Alayna. She called him Daddy’O. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2007 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Albers with Msgr. Donald Eichenseer and Rev. Lou Koehr officiating. Burial of cremains will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Albers. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2007 and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2007 at Hempen Funeral Home in Albers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alayna J. Brandmeyer Education Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home or any First County Bank.
