Bux, Rose Marie

Rose Marie Bux, 88, of New Baden, died Friday, February 21, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville. She was born November 7, 1925 in New Baden, daughter of William and Henrietta (Naegle) Hemann. She married Frank H. Bux on June 21, 1947 in New Baden and he preceded her in death on October 7, 2011. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Glenn) Albers of New Baden and Cheri (John) Rieger of Trenton; grandchildren, Craig (Lisa) Humphrey, Amy (Andrew) Kaelin, Jill (David) Jensen, Jay Rieger, and Sara (special friend, Jake) Rieger; great-grandchildren, Drew & Emmett Kaelin, Hayden & Maya Humphrey, and Nora & Natalie Jensen; a sister-in-law, Helen Hemann of New Baden; she is also survived by nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Kiefer and Adeline Willmann; two brothers, Robert J. “Bob” Hemann and Orville J. Hemann; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Berdelle M. “Birdie” Hemann, Robert Kiefer, Eugene Willmann, John & Dolores Bux, Otto & Sylvia Bux, Margaret Kapp, Bernice & William Stacey, and Mary & Clyde Staub. Mrs. Bux worked for the Civil Service at Scott Air Force Base for 30 years. She was a member of St. George Parish and Ladies Sodality, a former trustee for St. George Parish, and was a former member of the Women of the Moose Lodge in Belleville. She enjoyed dancing. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at St. George Catholic Church in New Baden with Rev. Eugene Neff and Deacon John Fridley officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in New Baden. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, February 24, 2014, and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Hempen Funeral Home in New Baden. Memorials may be made to St. George Parish or to Mater Dei High School and will be received at the funeral home.
