Florence M. Stein

Florence M. Stein of Centralia, IL died Monday, December 22, 2008 at St. Mary’s/Good Samaritan Hospital in Centralia at the age of 85 years. Florence was born in Hoffman, IL on February 20, 1923 the daughter of Martin and Amelia (Husmann) Holle. She married Richard W. Stein in Texas on August 22, 1942 and he preceded her in death on October 19, 1978.
Mrs. Stein is survived by a daughter: Susan Urban and husband Larry of St. Peter, IL; a sister: Lucille Knolhoff and husband Norman of Centralia; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter: Debra Tyberendt; grandson: Troy tyberendt; and brother: Milton Holle.Florence was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Centralia and the Trinity Lutheran Church Ladies Guild. She enjoyed spending time with and watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren playing sports.Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Centralia with Rev. Perry Schefelker and Rev. Mark Girardin officiating. The interment will follow at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Hoffman.Friends may visit with the family at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Centralia on Wednesday from 9 to 11:00 A.M.Expressions of sympathy may be made in Florence’s honor to the Trinity Lutheran School Athletic Fund or to the charity of the donor’s choice and those will be received at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle which is serving the family.
