Kloeckner, Doris

Doris E. Kloeckner, nee Haar, 77, of Albers, IL, born September 18, 1931 in Breese, IL, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2009 peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Roman W. Kloeckner, whom she married August 31, 1959 in Breese, IL; four children, Dan Kloeckner of Albers, IL, Lisa (Dean) Cravens of Belleville, IL, Tom Kloeckner of O’Fallon, IL and Mona (Dave) Strieker of Belleville, IL; three sisters, Rita Daubach of Belleville, IL, Jeri Arentsen of New Baden, IL and Kathy (Glen) Toennies of Aviston, IL; one brother, Frank (Mary Ann) Haar of Breese, IL; one brother-in-law, Jack Corbett of Aberdeen, WA; and eight grandchildren, Cali, Grant, Carly, Rylee, Olivia, Gavin, Molly and Grace. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Olivia (Von Alst) Haar; three sisters, Esther Shoreack, Bernice Corbett and Jean Bauer; and four brothers-in-law, Carl Shoreack, Bill Bauer, Orville Daubach and Wally Arentsen. Doris was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and Ladies Sodality in Albers and a former member of the Mater Dei Mothers and Friends Club. A funeral mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, February 27, 2009 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Albers, IL with Rev. Louis Koehr and Msgr. Donald Eichenseer officiating. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Albers, IL Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, February 26, 2009 and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Friday, February 27, 2009 at Hempen Funeral Home in Albers, IL. Memorials may be made to VNA-TIP Homecare or Hospice of Southern Illinois or Mater Dei High School and will be received at the funeral home.
