Stanley F. Klostermann, 65, of Breese, died Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at Clinton Manor in New Baden. He was born December 14, 1942 in Highland, son of Arnold and Catherine (Albers) Klostermann. He married Joanne Jansen September 18, 1965 in St. Rose and she survives in Alton. He is survived by a his children, Keith Klostermann and wife Anita Strake of Breese, Kevin Klostermann and wife Tina of St. Rose, Karl Klostermann and wife Kelly of St. Rose, Kay Meyer and husband Keith of Bartelso, and Kent Klostermann and special friend Dena Daily of Aviston; 14 grandchildren, Jonathan Klostermann, Kyle Klostermann, Heather Klostermann and special friend Brooks Foster, Kelsey Strake, Zachary Klostermann, Maria Klostermann, Collin Klostermann, Kirsten Klostermann, Ella Klostermann, Carson Klostermann, Amber Meyer, Jacob Meyer, Alexis Klostermann, and Devon Klostermann; one great grandchild, Maddison Foster; a brother, William Klostermann and wife Beverly of Pierron, and a sister, Mary Thole and husband Denis of Highland. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Klostermann was a former member of the St. Rose Parish and a former Parish Council member. He was a graduate of St. Henry’s Seminary and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. He was a teacher at Mater Dei High School from 1969 until 1973 and also operated Stan’s Radio & TV in Breese. He enjoyed model trains and fishing. A funeral mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2008 at St. Rose Catholic Church in St. Rose with Rev. Ed Schaefer officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Highland. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, June 27, 2008 and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Hempen Funeral Home in Breese. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. John the Baptist Parish in San Juan, TX and will be received at the funeral home.
