Judy M. Wilke, 65, of St. Rose, died Monday, August 18, 2014 at her home. She was born June 5, 1949 in Highland, daughter of Aloysious G. and Frances I. (Weis) Luitjohan. She married Thomas W. Wilke April 4, 1970 in Grantfork and he survives in St. Rose. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother, Frances Luitjohan of Grantfork; four sons, Alan Wilke and Kevin Wilke both of St. Rose, John Wilke of Glen Carbon, and Dale Wilke of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Andre and Aurora Wilke both of Edwardsville; a brother, Larry (Tina) Luitjohan of Grantfork; six sisters, Shirley (Lawrence) Schwarz of Grantfork, Bonnie (Jim) Wesselmann of Breese, Janet (Leonard) Thole of Highland, Barbara (Tim) Martiszus of Trenton, June (David) Schmelter of NC, and Marlene (Jerry) Vosholler of Highland; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Roman Wilke of Aviston, Hugo Wilke of St. Rose, Bernard Wilke of Pittsburg, PA, Genevieve Thole of Breese, and Ann & Wilbert Weis of Perrion. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sue Ann Wilke in infancy; two brothers-in-law, Otto Thole and Herb Clements; and sisters-in-law, Dolores Wilke, ASC, Thecla Clements, Rose Mary Wilke, and Mary Ruth Wilke. Mrs. Wilke was a dietary aide at Highland Healthcare. She was a member of St. Rose Parish and altar sodality. Funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 22, 2014 at St. Rose Catholic Church in St. Rose with Rev. Ed Schaefer officiating. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, August 21, 2014 and from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Friday, August 22, 2014 at Hempen-Nordike Funeral Home in Breese. Memorials may be made to Adorers of the Blood of Christ or to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be received at the funeral home.
