William (Bill) Hellige

William (Bill) Hellige of Stockton, CA, formerly of Breese, IL passed away at his home on January 9th,2011. Bill was born July 17, 1948 to Bernard Hellige and Dorothy (Geismann) Hellige. He married Kathleen Kampwerth on October 9, 1971. They moved to Stockton, CA in 1984. His wife preceded him in death on June 1 2009.Bill is survived by two sons, Chris and his wife Keri Hellige and grandson Bennett Hellige of Reno, Nevada and Jon and his wife Jenna Hellige of Stockton, CA.Bill was a graduate of Mater Dei High School and Rockhurst University. He worked as an accountant for Anheuser Busch for 33 years retiring in 2003. Since retirement he has enjoyed wood working and the company of his neighbors.Other survivors include; his mother Dorothy Hellige and his twin brother Dr. Robert Hellige of Highland, IL; two sister-in-laws Marabeth (Richard) Petermeyer of Beckemeyer, Il ; Sr. Virginia Kampwerth P.H.J.C. of Donaldson, Indiana. Nieces and nephews: Kara (Jeff) Pillus of Durango, CO; Eric (Philip Quick) Hellige of Chicago, IL; Rick (Michelle) Petermeyer of Springfield, IL; Greg (Kim) Petermeyer of Breese, IL; Lea (Michael) Murphy of Highland, IL; Lori (Andrew) Smith of Jacksonville, IL; and five great nieces and five great nephews.In addition to his wife, Bill was preceded in death by his father Bernard Hellige, his father-in-law Al B. Kampwerth, his mother-in-law Dorothy Kampwerth and a brother-in-law Alan Kampwerth.A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday January 29, 2011 at 10 A.M. at St Anthony Church in Beckemeyer, IL with Fr. Chuck Tuttle and Deacon Bob Lippert officiating. The interment will follow at St Anthony Cemetery.Friends may visit with the family at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle on Friday from 4 to 8 P.M.For those who desire, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Alzheimer's Association or to a charity of the donor's choice and those will be received at the Frerker Funeral Home which is serving the family.
