Robert C. Worley, 93, formerly of Odin, died Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese. He was born August 5, 1916 in Summers, Arkansas, son of Leander Virgil and Ida Frances (Winton) Worley. He married Margaret E. Barker November 26, 1941 in Poplar Buff, MO and she preceded him in death on December 20, 2008. He is survived by three daughters, Ann (Tom) Dascotte of Highland, Linda (Tom) Hoepker of Addieville and Barbara (Rob) Ferguson of Shawano WI; seven grandchildren, Dean (Amy) Dascotte, Lance (Krista) Dascotte, Jonathan (Lisa) Dascotte, Sean Dascotte, Robert (Lisa) Young, Brett (Marissa) Young and Jason (Paula Sprang) Maertz; eight great grandchildren, Courtney Dascotte, Chase Dascotte, London Dascotte, Collin Dascotte, Logan Dascotte, Lana Ann Dascotte, Adam Young and Lauren Young; sisters-in-law, Ella Worley and Edith Barker.
In addition to his parents and his wife he was preceded in death by five brothers, John Worley, Otis Worley, George Worley, Everett Worley and Marshall Worley; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Helen Worley, Buelah Mae Worley, Irene & Roy Robertson, Iola & Osmon Richardson, Virginia & Thomas Austin, Lawrence Barker, James Barker, John Barker, Donald & Lillie Belle Barker and Victor Barker.
Mr. Worley was a lineman for Marion County REA. He was a member of Centralia Congregation of Jehovah’s Witness.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Centralia, IL with Karry Major presiding.
Hempen Funeral Home in New Baden, IL is in charge of arrangements.
