Alan R. Kempster of Carlyle died Monday, March 18, 2013 at his home at the age of 72 years. Alan was born in Kansas City, Kansas on January 28, 1941 the son of Clarence and Hazel (Gritton) Kempster. On January 27, 1973 in West Haven, Connecticut. Alan married Rose Marie Cenotti, and she survives in Carlyle.
Alan is survived by his wife: Rose; his children: Alanna Downing and husband Scott of Godfrey, Illinois, Angel Cirasuolo of Florida, Jerry Cirasuolo and wife Kim of Florida, and John Cirasuolo of Connecticut; a sister: Pat Porter and husband Bill of Kansas; grandchildren: Josephine, Qynce, Trevis, Kirbee, Kloee, Nanette, Nicole, Nathan, Angelo and Jennie; and great grandchildren: Josiah and Sophia.
Alan was preceded in death by his granddaughter Angelina.
Alan was retired from CSX Railroad where he worked as a communication maintainer. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a faithful servant in the congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Carlyle where he served as an Elder. He enjoyed biking, traveling, trains, collecting coins, but most of all he enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Memorial services will be Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses with Tom Hoepker and Rick Wheeler officiating.
Friends may visit with the Kempster family at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle on Friday from 5 to 8:00 P.M.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Multiple Myloma Research Foundation, Kingdom Hall Building Fund in Carlyle, or to the charity of the donor’s choice and those will be received at the Frerker Funeral Home which is serving the family.
