Alvin C. Hacker of Germantown, formerly of Bartelso, passed away Monday, June 15, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese at the age of 77 years. Alvin was born in Santa Fe Township/Clinton County, Illinois on November 18, 1937, the son of Edward and Ida (Vandeloo) Hacker.
Alvin is survived by his brothers and sisters: Loretta Trevelline and husband Joe of Carlyle, Joe Hacker of Centralia, Doris Tadlock of Carlyle, Mary Kampwerth and husband John of Highland, and Rich Hacker and wife Marcie of Albers; many nieces and nephews; and his CILA Family in Germantown.
Mr. Hacker was preceded in death by his parents: Edward and Ida (Vandeloo) Hacker; and his sibling: Dolly Von Alst, Wilbur Hacker, Robert Hacker and Eddie Hacker Jr.
Alvin attended the Community Link in Breese for over 32 years.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 11:00 A.M.at St. Cecilia Church in Bartelso with Fr. Jim Buerster officiating. The interment will follow at St. Cecelia Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the Hacker family at St. Cecilia Church in Bartelso on Saturday from 9 A.M. to the time of the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made in Alvin’s honor be made to Community Link, St. Cecilia Church, St. Boniface Church or to VNA/TIP Hospice.
