Marion F. "Andy" Anderson, Commander Sgt. Major Retired, 89, of Albers, died Sunday, May 7, 2006 at Countryside Manor in Aviston. He was born January 28, 1917 in Bismarck, N.D. son of Frank and Katherine Martel. He married Jacqueline Moeller in St. Paul, Minn. In 1948 and they later divorced and she survives in Kanab, Utah. He is also survived by two sons, David Anderson of FL., Stephen Anderson and wife Mary of CA., and Deborah Anderson of Albers, IL; six grandchildren, James Keleman and wife Sheri, Tami Spellman and husband Rollin, Christine Johnson and husband Chris, David Anderson, Robert Winter and wife Maurine and Scott Winter and wife Marina; and 16 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and five sisters. He was a 25 year veteran of the United States Army having served in WWII and the Korean War. Following active military service he worked in the Army/Air Force Exchange Warehouse in Ft. Lewis, WA. He was a former member of the VFW, American Legion and Elks Club, all in Tacoma, WA; a 32nd degree Mason, Scottish Rite, Tacoma, WA and member of Masonic Lodge AF & AM Grand Lodge of Washington. There will be no visitation. Private burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice and will be received at the funeral home.
