Anderson, Viola

Viola Anderson, 92, of Aviston, formerly of New Baden, died Saturday, December 30, 2006, at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese. She was born April 9, 1914 in Royalton, IL, daughter of James and Maria (Troccono) Laurenti. She married Carl E. Anderson and he preceded her in death. She is survived by a sister, Minnie Kapustas of New Baden and nephews and nieces, Joseph Blazine, Msgr. James Blazine, Carolyn & Don Judge, James & Vicki Laurenti, Cathy & Ed Foutch, Mary & Ron Welk and Ann Baker. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Laurenti and Charles Laurenti and two sisters, Elizabeth Gualdoni and Emma Blazine. Mrs. Anderson was the head waitress at Little Jacks Restaurant in Chicago, IL. She was a member of St. George Parish in New Baden. A funeral mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at St. George Catholic Church in New Baden with Msgr. James Blazine officiating. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. at St. Aloysius Cemetery in Royalton, IL. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at St. George Catholic Church in New Baden. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. George Parish and will be received at the church or Hempen Funeral Home in New Baden, which is in charge of arrangements.
