Sharon Kae Andreaci, 69, of Pembroke Pines, FL, died Tuesday, February 24, 2009, at her home. She was born February 27, 1939 in Pinckneyville, IL, daughter of John Robert and Clara Mae (Carson) Biby. She is survived by her mother, Clara Mae Biby of Waterloo, IL, formerly of Columbia, IL; a brother, Robert Biby of Troy, IL; two nieces, Lisa Kae (Adrian) Dunne of Rocklin, CA, Erika Lynn (Rob) Russina of Ballwin, MO; a nephew, Patrick Biby; great nieces and great nephews, Ethan Riley Dunne, Cymone Dunne, Gabrielle Russina, Kayla Russina and Gavin Russina; aunts and uncle, Melba Joan Wilbanks and Dick & Alice Biby; cousins, Richard Biby, Peter Biby, Elizabeth Biby Bandarcan, Steven Biby, Dale Ray Wilbanks, Sarah Peveler, Mark Fessler, Michael Coltrin, Jane Harris, Carson Hempen, Ann Lopez, Mary Goetz, and Christine Kengott. She is also survived by friend & minister, Mike Cotton. She was preceded in death by her father and a nephew, John Robert Biby III. Sharon retired in 2004 after teaching 44 years in East St. Louis, IL, central Florida, Miami-Dade County Schools and most recently at Flamingo School in Hialeah, FL. She received a BA in Education from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, IL, an MA in Education from the University of Northern Colorado, and a PhD in Education from the University of Raighlings. She was a member of West Broward Church of Christ in Plantation, FL, the Hialeah Historical Society and the Mayan Studies at the University of Miami. Before her retirement she was active in the Sweet Adeline’s vocal group. She continued to serve as an adjunct professor at the University of Miami School of Education, was a Citizens Crime Watch volunteer at Pembroke Pine Police Department and Broward County and was a mentor to new teachers in Dade and Broward Counties.
