Andrew "Jerry" Holtgrave

Andrew G. “Jerry” Holtgrave of Iuka, passed away at Countryside Manor in Aviston on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the age of 85 years. Jerry was born in St. Rose Township/Clinton County, Illinois on November 27, 1929, the son of Gerhard and Catherine (Ahlers) Holtgrave.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Cletus Holtgrave and Herbert Holtgrave; sisters: Margaret McGinnis, Alvina Matscher, Sr. Gerald Holtgrave P.H.J.C., Sr. Gerard Holtgrave P.H.J.C., Sr. Pascal Holtgrave P.H.J.C. and Mitilda Barranco.
Mr. Holtgrave is survived by a sister: Trudy Arentsen and husband Norbert of Shiloh; 10 nieces and nephews; 20 great nieces and nephews; 10 great great nieces and nephews; and 1 great great great niece.
Jerry graduated from St. Rose Grade School, Aviston High School and Quincy University. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a field technician for A.T. & T. before retiring in Iuka.
There will be no funeral service as Mr. Holtgrave donated his body to St. Louis University Medical Center for Anatomical Science and Education.
