Ann Christine Bolk

Ann Christine Bolk, age 86 of Carlyle passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Trenton, IL on July 24, 1933, the daughter of Henry and Christine (Markus) Welling. She married her husband of 67 years, James Bolk, on June 28, 1952 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Trenton and he survives in Carlyle.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Michael (PJ) Bolk, Timothy (Carrie) Bolk, and Christine Lynn; her grandchildren: Justin (Liz) Bolk, Jennan Bolk, Kasey (Brian) Davis, Kortney (Brent) Schwierjohn, Kaitlin (Nick) Mioux, Kody Bolk, Dustin Lynn and Annchristine Mariah Lynn; great grandchildren: Grady, Hadley, and Libby Davis, Mack, Lila, and Silvey Schwierjohn, Hunter and Avery Bolk, and Haverlee and Ledger Shores; brother-in-law Jerry Vaninger; and sister-in-law Audrey Bolk

Mrs. Bolk was preceded in death by her infant son Joseph Bolk as well as her siblings: Louis Welling, Leandra Welling PHJC, Eloise and Don Seger, Vera Vaninger; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Leo and Bertha (Hellmann) Bolk; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Leo Jr. and Virginia (Rottering) Bolk, Don and Pauline (Lohman) Bolk, Roger Bolk, Paul Bolk, and Grace Welling.

Ann enjoyed playing golf, tennis and card games. She was a people person and lived to please others. She lived life to the fullest and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Carlyle with Fr. George Mauck officiating.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 until 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Carlyle.

Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Trenton.

Memorials made in memory of Ann are suggested to American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association and will be received at church or at Nordike Funeral Home, 740 Fairfax Street, in Carlyle
