Daniel Allen Augustus, 18, of New Baden, IL, died Thursday, September 15, 2005 as the result of an automobile accident south of Highland, IL. He was born in Breese, IL on September 18, 1986 son of Kevin and Sheila Jean (Getz) Augustus. He was preceded in death by his mother, his grandfathers, Eugene Getz, Sr. and Rex Martinsen; and a cousin, P.J. Fall. He is survived by his father, Kevin Augustus of Lenzburg, IL, a sister Jennifer Augustus of Beckemeyer, IL; his fiancée, Lindsey Cornell and her daughter, Madilyn Cornell of Trenton, IL; grandfather, Dugan Augustus of Texas, grandmother, Barbara Willman of Highland, IL; Grandmother, Carole Martinsen of Iowa, Aunts & Uncles, Barbara Jean Getz of Trenton, IL, Charles Getz & Eugene Getz, Jr. of Highland, IL, Kim & Robert Ferrente, Shelley & Mark Fiedler, Stacie Martinsen, Kent & Shannon Martinsen all of Iowa; and numerous cousins. Mr. Augustus was a flooring installer for Oster Floor Covering. He was a member of West Gate Baptist Church in Trenton, IL and had been attending First Assembly of God Church in Mascoutah with his fiancée. He was a former student at Wesclin High School in Trenton, IL. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at West Gate Baptist Church in Trenton, IL with Rev. Mike May and Rev. Wayne Boostrom officiating. Interment will follow at Summerfield Cemetery in Summerfield, IL. Friends may call on Monday, September 19, 2005 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Tuesday, September 20, 2005 from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at Hempen Funeral Home, New Baden, IL. Memorials may be made to HIS KIDS and will be received at the funeral home.
