Betty J. Armer

Betty J. Armer of Centralia, IL died Sunday, August 7, 2011 at her residence at the age of 72 years. She was born on October 22, 1938 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Melrose and Rose (Thorman) Koehler. She married Franklin "Frank" Armer on October 17, 1953 in St. Charles, MO and he preceded her in death on November 2, 2004.

Betty is survived by her children: Patricia Donoho and husband Lyle of Centralia, Linda Hoffmann of Centralia, Doris Kapp and husband Rick of Marine, IL and Rex Armer of Imperial Beach, CA; a sister: Wanita Koehler and life partner Gia Moss of Las Vegas, NEV; grandchildren: Tina Stevenson and husband Scott, Kim Cook and husband Kris, David Edwards and wife Sara, Terry Hoffmann Jr., Mathew Hoffmann, Judith Hoffmann, Justin Armer, Jacob Armer, Thomas Armer, Kyle Kapp and fiancé Jonnie Dierkes, Kraig Kapp and special friend Amber Eilers; and nine great grandchildren.

Mrs. Armer was preceded in death by her parents; husband; step-father: Larry Schroeder; sister: Rosemarie Koehler; and a granddaughter: Kay Lynn Hoffmann.

Betty had worked at DeMoulin Brothers, Marine Garment Factory and Basler Electric.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle with Pastor Paul Mount officiating. The interment will follow in Carlyle Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle on Tuesday from 6 to 8:00 P.M. or on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until the time of services.

Expressions of sympathy are suggested to the American Cancer Society/Relay For Life. Due to a flower allergy, the family would appreciate any flowers sent be artificial.
