Blake Stoddard Rodgers

Blake Stoddard Rodgers, 31, of New Baden, died Friday, November 8, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in O’Fallon. He was born January 30, 1988 in Belleville, the son of Joe and Rhonda M., nee Sonsoucie, Rodgers.

Blake is survived by his father, Joe Rodgers of New Baden; his mother and step-father, Rhonda M. & Billy Vos of Albers; his son, Oliver Rodgers; Oliver’s mother, Malia Rodgers; his siblings, Jamey (Jeanne) Rodgers of Portland, OR, Kyle (Alicia) Rodgers of New Baden, Shannon Gerstner of O’Fallon, Emily McPeak of Columbia, and Kurt Taylor of Belleville; as well as nieces, nephews, aunt, uncles, grandparents, and friends.

Mr. Rodgers was a fabrication welder/pipefitter.

Graveside Services will be held at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Greenmount Cemetery in New Baden.

Friends may call Wednesday, November 13, 2019 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Nordike Funeral Home in New Baden.

In lieu of flowers, plants, or other gifts, memorials may be made to Oliver’s Education Fund and will be received at the funeral home.
