Brian J. Strieker

Brian J. Strieker, age 57, of Aviston, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville. He was born December 22, 1958 in Breese, son of Anthony J. and Mary Ann (Thole) Strieker.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Strieker of Aviston: seven siblings, Joseph (Trudy) Strieker of Collinsville, IL, Philip Strieker of Aviston, Clifford (Marlene) Strieker of Jackson, MO, Barbara (Bryan) DeNeve of Paducah, KY, Betty Strieker of St. Peters, MO, Roger (Lisa) Strieker of Aviston, and Cindy (Mark) Rabideau of Auburn, IL; thirteen nieces and nephews: Paul, Daniel, John, Mark, David, Lindsay, Mackenzie, Madi, Brendan, Ashley, Tyler, Cooper, and Sydney; as well as his great niece Hadley and great nephew Elliott .

Brian was preceded in death by his father Anthony Strieker.

Mr. Strieker was a member of St. Francis Parish in Aviston. Brian was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He could always be found on the family farm helping his father and his Brother Roger take care of the cattle or helping his mother maintain the yard and garden. More than anything, he loved the visits from all of his nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Aviston with Rev. Dan Friedman officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery in Aviston.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, September 9, 2016 and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at Nordike Funeral Home in Aviston.

Memorials may be made to St. Francis Church or Mater Dei High School and will be received at the funeral home.
