Brickeen, Sharon

Sharon E. Brickeen, 58, of Trenton, Ill. died Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese, Ill. She was born March 19, 1947 in St. Louis, MO daughter of Charles, Sr. & Eileen (Brauch) Patterson. She married Edward Brickeen, Sr. on May 6, 1967 at St. Clare Catholic Church in O’Fallon, Ill. and he survives in Trenton, Ill. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother, Eilene Patterson of O’Fallon, Ill., one son, Edward Brickeen, Jr. of Trenton, Ill., four daughters, Michele Huelsmann and husband Russ of Aviston, Ill., Melissa Shirley and husband Terry of Carlyle, Ill., Julia Merryman of Trenton, Ill., and friend Brian Heckenkemper, Carrie Brickeen of O’Fallon, MO; two brothers, Ben Patterson and wife Nancy of Leesville, SC and Keith Patterson and wife Nancy of Mesa, AZ; nine grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Vera Saggio of Granite City, Ill. and nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her father, one brother, Charles Patterson, Jr. and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Earl and Theresa Mae Brickeen. Mrs. Brickeen was a computer operator at Zelinski & Associates in St. Louis, MO. A funeral mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2006 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Aviston, Ill. with Rev. Dan Friedman officiating. Interment will be private. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2006 at Hempen Funeral Home in Aviston, Ill. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice and will be received at the funeral home.
