Bronson, John

John W. Bronson, 48, of Breese, died Saturday, March 8, 2008 at his home. He was born July 5, 1959 in Salem, son of Harry and Helen (Sanders) Bronson. He married Ruth A. Steinkamp on May 23, 1980 in Centralia and she survives in Breese. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Jessica Wilmot and husband Donny of Breese, Joshua Bronson of Indianapolis, IN, and Misty Bronson of Breese; two grandchildren, Dylan and Ethan Wilmot; one sister, Ruth Stanley of Maunie; three brothers, Phil Bronson and wife Lila of Kinmundy, Gary Bronson and wife Pat of Centralia, and Mark Bronson of Jacksonville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Melvin Steinkamp of CA, Wayne and Sandy Steinkamp of Centralia, Roy and Betty Steinkamp of Junction City, and Kenny and Carol Steinkamp of Centralia. He was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edwin and Esther Steinkamp. Mr. Bronson was an over the road truck driver for Crete Carrier and he was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Breese. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2008 at Hempen Funeral Home in Breese with Rev. Lisa Hart officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery in Centralia. Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2008 and from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2008 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family and will be received at the funeral home.
