Dorothy E. Buller, 84, of Breese, died Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese. She was born February 6, 1925 in Breese, IL, daughter of Henry W. and Wilhelmina (Deerhake) Usselmann. She married Virgil Buller on September 29, 1951 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese and he preceded her in death on January 20, 1994. Mrs. Buller is survived by a son, Harry (Cathleen) Buller of Breese and a daughter, Marla (Kevin) Hegger of Aviston; four grandchildren, Matthew (special friend, Jen Braddie) Buller, Andrew (fiancée, Andrea Dierks) Buller, Rachael (special friend, Wesley Buehne) Hegger and Nicholas Hegger; brothers & sisters, Evelyn Drees of Trenton, Raymond (Florence) Usselmann of Breese, Juliana (Sylvester) Hilmes of Breese, Irene Ziegler of Park Forest, IL, Margaret (Nicholas) Timmermann of St. Rose, Mary Ann Usselmann of Park Forest, IL, and Andrew Usselmann of Breese; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Don Boehm of Florissant, MO, Bernice & Earl Duncan of Highland, and Marcie Buller of Breese; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by two sisters, Veronica Boehm and Florence A. Usselmann; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joseph Drees, Thomas Ziegler, Leonardine & Sebastian Grimmer, and August Buller. Mrs. Buller was a homemaker and formerly worked at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese. She was a member of St. Dominic Parish in Breese. A funeral mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2009 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese with Rev. Pat Peter officiating. Interment will follow at St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery in Breese. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2009 and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Hempen Funeral Home in Breese. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association and will be received at the funeral home.
