Carol C. Calzaretta, 39, of Glendale Heights formerly of Trenton, died Friday, December 16, 2011 in Glendale Heights. She was born November 14, 1972 in Highland, daughter of Donald R. and Patricia L. (Dickerson) Bair. She married Anthony Calzaretta on May 12, 2001 in Arlington Heights, IL and he survives in Schaumburg, IL. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her parents, Donald R. and Patricia L. Bair of Trenton; a sister, Patricia Sue Bair of Colorado Springs, CO; a nephew, Tristan Charles Hahs, and a niece, Margo Jane Rodwick both of Colorado Springs, CO. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Carol was a receptionist for Creative recycling in Glendale Heights and was following her passion to be an actress. She performed with Green Man and other companies as Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, Velma Kelly in Chicago, Gypsy in Gypsy Rose Lee, Shelby in Steel Magnolias, Sheila in A Chorus Line and other productions all in the Chicago area. She attended Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville and Lindenwood University on a dance scholarship. Carol enjoyed her five cats and her horse Taco. She was a member of Green Man Theater Troop in the Chicago area and a former member of St. John United Church of Christ where she was active in the choir. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at St. John United Church of Christ in Trenton with Rev. Linda Coulson officiating. Burial will follow at Trenton Cemetery in Trenton. Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2011 and from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Hempen Funeral Home in New Baden. Memorials may be made to the education fund of her niece and nephew and will be received at the funeral home.
