Chesley, Frank

Frank P. Chesley, 76, of New Baden, died Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at his home. He was born January 16, 1932 in East St. Louis, son of Thomas and Mable (O’Dell) Chesley. He married Angleen Carter Moore July 12, 1973 in Biloxi, MS and she survives in New Baden. In addition to his wife, Angleen Moore Chesley, he is survived by a son, Robert Moore of Glade Water, TX; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one brother, Donald (Benita) Chesley of Morganfield, KY; a sister-in-law, Helen Chesley of Cardova, TN; a brother-in-law, Ray Anderson of St. Louis, MO; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, neighbors and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Tom Chesley, Sr.; a sister, Louise Anderson. Mr. Chesley retired from Union Bank in East St. Louis after 30 years of service and then worked at Jakel’s in Highland. He was a member of the Shiloh Eagles. He enjoyed camping, vacation trips, gardening and baseball. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2008 at Hempen Funeral Home in New Baden with Rev. Eugene Neff officiating. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2008 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made for masses or to Family Hospice and will be received at the funeral home.
