Clarence H. Krebs, age 93 of Carlyle born Aug. 25, 1923, son of Casper and Mathilda (Diekemper) died Feb. 13, 2017 at home.
Clarence was a lifelong dairy farmer. For over 60 years he served as a dedicated Clinton County Fair board member. He was also a member of the Farm Bureau, Clinton County Soil Conservation, sat on the Carlyle Township board, active in the Knights of Columbus, and a member of St Mary’s Parish.
Clarence is preceded in death by his parents and wife Marcella “Sally” (Duing) whom he married on April 27, 1948 in Germantown. He was also preceded in death by his sisters Rita Jansen, Florence Wolters, Lorraine Huelskamp, and daughter-in-law Brenda Krebs.
Surviving are his children Julie (Ray) Brown of Hazelwood, Missouri, Patty Krebs (Ed Audelo) of Vancouver, Washington, Gary (Aldenise) Krebs of Marietta, Georgia, and Kevin Krebs of Carlyle. His six grandchildren; Sarah and Tim Brown, Camille and Marcie Audelo, Jessica Kohnen and Robbie Krebs, and two great-grandchildren Natalie and Ben Kohnen. As well as his sisters Helen Luebbers, and Dolly Lampe.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Carlyle with Fr. George Mauck officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Carlyle.
Visitation will bon Friday, February 24, 2017 from 4 until 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 8 until 9:45 AM at Nordike Funeral Home in Carlyle.
