Clifford G. Crabtree

Clifford G. Crabtree, age 62, of Salem passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at his home. He was born on November 26, 1960, the son of Robert and Dorothy (Harding) Crabtree. He married Cherish Curry in Salem on June 24, 2016 and she survives in Salem.

In addition to his wife, Cliff is survived by three sons: Chad Crabtree and wife Aureen, Gage Crabtree, Blake Crabtree and wife Gabriell; two step-children: Steven Curry and wife Maria, and Crystal Clements and husband Justin; his siblings: Connie Fruend, Shirlene Crabtree, and Richard Crabtree; grandchildren: Alexia, Alaina, Allison, River, Bentley, Sofia; step-grandchildren: Sophia, Savannah, Skylar, Kelsey, Nathan, and Anestasia.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Crabtree and stepson: Nathan Curry.

Cliff loved to play the guitar and listen to music, he was a huge AC/DC fan. He enjoyed learning as much as he could and being around his family, especially his grandchildren. He was extremely proud of his service in the Army National Guard and could be best described as very kind, caring, and selfless person.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 9, 2023, at Nordike Funeral Home in Carlyle with Rev. Josh Wolford officiating.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of services on Monday, October 9, 2023 at Nordike Funeral Home in Carlyle.

Memorials made in memory of Cliff are suggested to the charity of donor’s choice and will be received at Nordike Funeral Home, 740 Fairfax Street, Carlyle, IL 62231.
