Darlene Adelia Boston, 77, of New Baden, died Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Aviston Countryside Manor. She was born February 23, 1942 in New Baden, the daughter of Harry and Adelia, nee Krausz, Huelskoetter. She married Howard W. Boston October 26, 1991 at First Baptist Church in Mascoutah and he survives in New Baden.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughter, Angie (Robbie) Wegman of Trenton; two step-daughters, Julie (Bryan Peters) Boston-Renth of New Baden and Susan Ebers of Steelville; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Leona “Eb” (Ponch) Determan and Laverne “Worney” Laux all of New Baden.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Melva “Fritty” Friederich and Delores “Mutz” Edwards; and a brother-in-law, Don Laux.
Mrs. Boston was a secretary at Scott Air Force Base for over 34 years. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in New Baden; and she enjoyed doing crafts and going camping.
Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Zion United Church of Christ in New Baden.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at Zion United Church of Christ in New Baden.
Memorials may be made to Zion UCC Building Fund and will be received at the church or Nordike Funeral Home, 15 E. Hanover St., New Baden, IL 62265 who is serving the family.
