Deiters, Rita

Rita T. Deiters, 85, of Breese, died Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Caring First Nursing Home in Breese. She was born December 17, 1926 in Breese daughter of Herman and Mary (Koerkenmeier) Rakers. She married Ferd Deiters on November 20, 1946 in Breese and he preceded her in death on March 30, 2008. Mrs. Deiters is survived by her children, Judy (Gordon) Kraus of Reno, NV, Jim Deiters of St. Petersburg, FL, Dale (Jan) Deiters of Breese, Dan (Joyce) Deiters of Carlyle and Wayne (Ginny) Deiters of Breese; 15 grandchildren, Karen (fiancé, Nate Devlin) Kraus, Rick Kraus, Chad (Kelly) Deiters, Jamie (Nancy) Deiters, Brandon Deiters, D.J. Deiters, Libby Deiters, Joey Deiters, Julie Deiters, Stacie (Jon) LeCroy, Lisa Deiters, Craig Deiters, Kevin Deiters, Courtney Deiters and Chelsey Deiters; three great-grandchildren, Brady Deiters, Jordan Deiters and Audrey LeCroy; one step great-grandchild, Jamie Renspurger; two sisters, Alvera Manhard of Trenton and Cecilia Markus of Aviston; two brothers, Jerome (Mildred) Rakers of Carlyle, and Andrew Rakers of Beckemeyer; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Johanna Rakers of Trenton, Joyce (Leonard) Steinmann of St. Rose, Alvin Deiters of Trenton, Robert Deiters and Ralph & Kathy Deiters all of Breese. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by three sisters, Marie Grapperhaus, Marcella Seifert, and Irene Rakers; two brothers, Paul Rakers and Edmund Rakers; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Alvin Grapperhaus, Maurice Manhard, Benedict Markus, Mary Ann Rakers, Norma Deiters, Anna Deiters, and Leona & Joe Haar. Mrs. Deiters was a homemaker and a member of St. Augustine Parish andSt. Monica Altar Sodality in Breese. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 29, 2012 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese with Rev. Chuck Tuttle officiating. Burial will follow at St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery in Breese. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, October 28, 2012 and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Monday, October 29, 2012 at Hempen Funeral Home in Breese. Memorials may be made to Clinton County Meals on Wheels, St. Augustine Parish or Mater Dei High School and will be received at the funeral home.
