Dolores A. “Dolly” Netemeyer, 88, of Albers, died Saturday, January 30, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville. She was born September 4, 1927 in Aviston, the daughter of Herman and Mary (Strieker) Poettker. She married Ralph N. Netemeyer on September 22, 1948 in Aviston and he preceded her in death on November 25, 2006.
Dolly is survived by seven sons, Mike (Donna) Netemeyer of Carlyle, David (Linda) Netemeyer of Trenton, Frank (Cyndi) Netemeyer of St. Jacob, Steve (Shelley) Netemeyer of Breese, Andy (Becky) Netemeyer of Snellville, GA., Glenn (Robbin) Netemeyer and Eric (Cindy) Netemeyer all of Albers; three daughters, Bonnie Netemeyer of New Baden, Gail (Ken) Mathis of Casey, and Jean (Rich) Sims of Caldwell, ID; 21 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; a sister, Marie (Clarence) Plocher of Highland; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jane Netemeyer of Aviston, Alice Zurliene of Fairfield, Arnold & Mary Heimann of Germantown, Sister Marcianna Heimann of Herrin, and Vera Netemeyer of Aviston.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her siblings, Joe Poettker, Sister Doris Poettker, Cyril Poettker, and Cletus Poettker; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Henry “Hank” Netemeyer, Dolores Poettker, Paul Netemeyer, Martha & Edwin Horstmann, Marcella & Tony Dulle, Antoinette & Virgil Engelmann, Herbert Heimann, Elmer Netemeyer, Bernette & Vince Dulle, Sister Julie Netemeyer, Tom Zurliene, Alvira Poettker, and Edna Netemeyer.
Mrs. Netemeyer was a homemaker; a volunteer at St. Joseph Hospital and Aviston Countryside Manor; and a PSR teacher at St. Bernard. She was a member of St. Bernard Parish and Ladies Sodality, the American Legion Auxiliary Post 1026 in Albers, and the Clinton County Farm Bureau.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Albers. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Albers.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2016 and again from 8 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Albers. The American Legion Auxiliary will visit the church at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorials may be made to Mater Dei High School or St. Bernard Parish and will be received at the church or Nordike Funeral Home, 15 E. Hanover, New Baden, IL 62265 who is serving the family.
