Known for his culinary skills, he delighted family and friends with his cooking. A true animal lover, Don shared a special bond with his dog, Sonny.
Above all, Don treasured spending time with his loved ones. He adored his wife, Karen (Outhouse) Wurm, whom he married on June 7, 1964, at the Patoka Baptist Church. In addition to his wife of 60 years, he is survived by his children, Robin Goebel & husband Steve and Jeff Wurm & special friend Cathy Strotheide. Don was a proud grandfather to Zachary Goebel & wife Heather, Jacob Goebel & wife Victoria, Kevin Wurm & wife Lexi, and Jeremy Goebel (Tami), and he found immense joy in the lives of his great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Aurora, & Cooper Goebel, Sophie & Owen Wurm, and Griffin & Gracelyn Goebel, as well as Nevaeh Brown & Ruby Goebel.
In addition to his immediate family, Don is survived by his sister, Beverly Sabol & husband Ray; brother, Gary Wurm & wife Lynne; sister-in-law, Linda Maas; and numerous nieces and nephews who were fortunate to know and love him.
