Donald M. Berberich

Donald M. Berberich, 74, of New Baden, died Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Mercy Care Center in Swansea surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 7, 1944 in Mascoutah Township, the son of Matt F. and Estella L., nee Koebel, Berberich. He married Pamela C. Frost on March 31, 1973 at the United Methodist Church in New Baden and she survives in New Baden.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Becky J. (Doug) Mealy and Elizabeth A. (Tony) Dennison; three grandchildren, Olivia Mealy, and Madelyn & Cooper Dennison; and his siblings, Pearl, David, Marvin, and Allen.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Berberich; and a sister, Kay Berberich.

Mr. Berberich was a farmer and a member of the United Methodist Church in New Baden. He enjoyed playing cards, visiting with neighbors, family gatherings at the clubhouse, and fishing.

Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at the United Methodist Church in New Baden with Pastor Matt Bachman and Pastor Dave Estep officiating.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 9 a.m. until time of services at the United Methodist Church in New Baden.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or South Callaway Special Olympics and will be received at the church or Nordike Funeral Home, 15 E. Hanover St., New Baden, IL 62265 who is serving the family.
