Douglas, Clifford

Clifford James Douglas, 55 of Albers, died Saturday, April 24, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville. He was born July 6, 1954 in East St. Louis, son of Clifford L. and Verna L. (Krause) Douglas. He is survived by a brother, Steven A. Douglas of Albers and a sister, Georgeann (her life partner, Rick Loveless) Walker of Fairview Heights; nieces and nephews, JoAnn Schwartz, & Janis (John) La Velle; great nieces and great nephews, Krystal (Devin) Barnes, Veronica Schwartz, & Joshua Walker; and a step great nephew, Kyle La Velle. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Douglas worked in the warehouse at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville. He enjoyed reading and family time. Private family memorial services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family and will be received at Hempen Funeral Home.
