Evelyn E. Dulle, 85, of Albers, died Friday, March 9, 2012 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville. She was born December 14, 1926 in Bartelso, daughter of George and Rose (Mensing) Becker. She married Gregory A. Dulle on May 21, 1947 in Beckemeyer and he preceded her in death on November 22, 1993. Mrs. Dulle is survived by her children, Theresa (Gary) Frieden of Greenfield, IN, Richard (Diana) Dulle of Pinckneyville, IL, Elizabeth (John) Shoemaker of Palos Park, IL and Gloria (Alan) McGlasson of Shipman, IL; six grandchildren, Thomas (Kristy) Frieden, James Dulle, Joshua Dulle, Maria Dulle, Jeffrey Shoemaker, and Timothy Shoemaker; three great-grandchildren, Lillian, Landon and Lydia Frieden; two sisters, Rosemary Fornelli of Beckemeyer, and Georgetta “Honey” (Ben) Brueggemann of Bartelso; sisters-in-law, Leora Becker of Breese, and Marie Dulle of Albers. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Viola Fauke; two brothers, Virgil Becker in infancy and Ray Becker; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, William Fornelli, Ben and Rosalind Dulle, Henry “Hank” Dulle, Delores Dulle, Herman and Christine Dulle, Vincent and Bernette Dulle, Anthony G. “Tony” and Marcella Dulle, Mary and Adolph Brand and Cecelia and Ben Santel. Evelyn formerly worked at Behrmann Meat Processing in Albers. She was a member of St. Bernard Parish and Sodality in Albers; she was a member, past president and also held other offices, of the American Legion Post 1026 Auxiliary in Albers; and a member of Catholic Holy Family Society where she was also Fraternalist of the year. Evelyn was a very active volunteer in her community and church. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling and fishing with her husband. Funeral Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Albers with Rev. Jack Joyce officiating. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Albers. Friends may call from 9 p.m. until 10 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2012 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Albers. Memorials may be made to Clinton County Relay For Life or American Legion Post 1026 and will be received at the church or Hempen Funeral Home who is in charge of arrangements.
