Earl Plesia of O’Fallon, Missouri passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015 at his home at the age of 87 years. Earl was born in East Canton, Ohio on April 25, 1927, the son of Jacob and Anastasia (Ganea) Plesia. He married Nancy Revermann in East St. Louis, Illinois on July 3, 1967, and she survives in O’Fallon.
Earl is also survived by two sons: Terry L. Plesia of St. Charles, Missouri and Tommy L. Plesia of Seattle, Washington; two brothers: George Plesia of Louisville, Ohio and John J. Plesia of New Albany, Ohio; and two grandchildren: Chantael and Jacob Plesia.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Sylvia Plesia.
Mr. Plesia served in the United States Army during World War II and later in the Korean Conflict in the United States Air Force. He was retired from McDonnel Douglas Air Craft, having worked as an Electrical-Electronic Technician. He was a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5077 and the American Legion Post 388, both in O’Fallon, Missouri.
Funeral services for Mr. Plesia will be Saturday, March 28, 2015 at noon at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Carlyle with Pastor Steven Sommerer officiating. The interment will follow at Carlyle Township Cemetery with military honors accorded.
Friends may visit with the family at the Messiah Lutheran Church on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of services.
