Eddy Cannaday

Eddy Cannaday, 65, of Belleville, died Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at his home. He was born January 6, 1951 in Germany, the son of Harry Frank and Alice Christine (Keys) Cannaday and they preceded him in death.

Eddy is survived by two sons, Brandon (Ann) Cannaday of Albers and Barry E. Cannaday of New Baden; three grandchildren, Noah Broeckling, Jake Cannaday, and Dominic Cannaday; a brother, Barry F. (Cindy) Cannaday; a sister, Cynthia C. (Kurt) Kassebaum; and his nieces and nephews, Jon, Austin, and Jamie Cannaday, Brian and Candy Gass, and Emily Machens.

Mr. Cannaday was a small engine mechanic before his retirement. He enjoyed scuba diving, going to the Illinois State Fair every year, spending time with his grandkids, and watching football, especially the Dallas Cowboys.

All services are private.

Memorials may be made to the St. Clair County Humane Society and will be received at Nordike Funeral Home, 15 E. Hanover, New Baden, IL 62265 who is serving the family.
