Edna Mae Wilson, 74, of New Baden, died Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville. She was born June 5, 1942 in Phoenix, AZ, the daughter of Clifford and Dymple, nee Scrivner, Curtis. She married Ralph Wilson on July 9, 1962 in Buckeye, AZ and he preceded her in death on August 26, 2001.
Edna is survived by her daughters, Cathy (Robert) Creath of Damiansville, Sandy (Andy) Schipke of Albers, and Shellie Cartwright of Chester; adopted daughter, Michelle (John) Silies of St. Louis, MO; 12 grandchildren, Devon Hemann (Justin), Michael, Brenden, & Braden Creath, Brittney & Brooke Schipke, Taylor & Hayden Cartwright, and Janessa, Jaiden, Jordan, & Alex Silies; a great-granddaughter, Alayna Hemann, and she was expecting two more great-grandchildren; and a niece, Rene Langenbach.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Curtis.
Mrs. Wilson enjoyed playing cards & bingo, going to craft shows, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 6, 2017 at Nordike Funeral Home in New Baden. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
Friends may call Sunday, February 5, 2017 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again on Monday, February 6, 2017 from 10 a.m. until time of services at Nordike Funeral Home in New Baden.
Memorials may be made to the family and will be received at the funeral home.
