Edwards, Deloris

Deloris E. "Mutz" Edwards, 74, of New Baden, died Friday, May 11, 2007 at her home. She was born March 3, 1933 in Lookingglass Twp., IL, daughter of Harry and Adelia (Krausz) Huelskoetter. She married Bobby D. Edwards in New Baden on December 20, 1952 and he survives.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Dale A. "Doc" Edwards of New Baden and Mike W. Edwards and wife Vicki of Centralia; four grandchildren, Kevin Edwards of O’Fallon, Jeremy Edwards and wife Brandee of Fairview Heights, Jessica Edwards and Allison Edwards both of New Baden; three step grandchildren, Tiffany Browder of New Baden, Shannon Shelley and husband Bruce of Valmeyer, and Alisa Rogers of Centralia; one step great grandson, Grayson Shelley; three sisters, Leona "Eb" Determan and husband Norman "Ponch" of New Baden, LaVerne "Worney" Laux and husband Don of New Baden and Darlene Boston and husband Howard of New Baden; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Larry Edwards of Pottscamp, MS, Jerry and Donna Edwards of Aurora and Elizabeth Edwards of Bruce, MS and her special friend, Wiggles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Melva Friederich; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lance and Susie Dale Edwards and brother-in-law, Billy Edwards.
Mrs. Edwards was retired from Scott Air Force Base civil service. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in New Baden and the American Legion Post 321 Auxiliary in New Baden.
All visitation and services are private.
Memorials may be made to Muscular Dystrophy and Clinton County Relay For Life and will be received at Hempen Funeral Home in New Baden who is in charge of services.
