Eilers, Leona

Leona A. Eilers, 91, of Breese, died Sunday, February 17, 2008 at Breese Nursing Home in Breese. She was born December 1, 1916 in Bartelso daughter of Frank and Clara (Hendricks) Ribbing. She married Norbert Eilers on June 7, 1945 in St. Louis, MO and he preceded her in death on March 20, 1983. She is survived by a sister, Josephine Kruse of Breese and 2 great nieces, Jodi and Julie. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Alvina Scott, a brother, Greg Ribbing and a brother-in-law, Wilbert Kruse. Mrs. Eilers was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Augustine Parish in Breese. A funeral mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese with Rev. Chuck Tuttle officiating. Interment will follow at St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery in Breese. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2008 and from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Hempen Funeral Home in Breese. Memorials may be made to Breese Nursing Home Activity Fund or to St. Augustine Parish Building Fund and will be received at the funeral home.
