Emory Clifford Edwards

Emory Clifford Edwards, 70, of Trenton, died Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at his home. He was born November 9, 1947 in Mitchell, IN, the son of Clifford Fredrick and Orpha Helen, nee Tencher, Edwards. He married Emma Faye Dowdy October 6, 1973 at the Hatkins Chapel in Belleville and she survives in Trenton.

In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter, Shari L. (Clinton) Truett of New Baden; three grandchildren, William B. Childers, Jr. of New York, Elizabeth A. Childers of Georgia, and Candis Pressley of Illinois; eight great-grandchildren; his siblings, June (Roy) Lamb of Indiana, Bertha Pfeiffer of Illinois, Helen (Jim) Lewis of Indiana, and Bonnie Slater of Illinois.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Beasley.

Mr. Edwards was a supervisor for Georgia Pacific and a veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and bowling.

There will be no services.
