Robert M. Flowers, 55, of Lexington, SC formerly of New Baden, IL, entered into rest Saturday, November 12, 2011 at his residence. He was born November 29, 1955 in Newfoundland, Canada, son of Willard M. and Mary E. (Fowler) Flowers. Surviving are his children, Melanie (Kevin) Knutson of Buckley, WA, Christopher Flowers of Little Mountain, SC, Brandon Flowers of Trenton, IL, and Mary Flowers of New Baden, IL; siblings, Patricia (Bill) Wilken of Trenton, IL, Patrick Flowers of Boston, MA, Debbie (Ron) Kalmer of New Baden, IL, & Beverly Flowers; he is also survived by his former wife, Linda Flowers of New Baden, IL and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Flowers was a diesel mechanic. He was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed Rock & Roll and was the soundman for Baden Rhode. Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, November 18, 2011 at Hempen Funeral Home in New Baden. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Family or to the American Heart Association and will be received at the funeral home.
