Frances A. Middendorff, age 95, of New Baden, died Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Countryside Manor in Aviston. She was born February 15, 1920 in Albers, daughter of Bernard and Mary (Hilmes) Kassen. She married William G. Middendorff on November 25, 1939 in Albers and he preceded her in death on April 22, 1988.
She is survived by her children, Marvin (Cathy) Middendorff, Clarence (Doris) Middendorff, and Jeannette (Dennis) Rickhoff; a son-in-law, Charles Huber; seven grandchildren, Gregory and Michael Huber, Brent and Kurt Rickhoff, and Kelli, Chad, and Loni Middendorff; a sister, Pauline Geissert; and a sister-in-law, Marie Kassen.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Huber; a son, Marcellus Middendorff; a granddaughter, Charlene Huber; two sisters, Rita Schmidt, Bernadine Meier; a sister-in-law, Florence Kassen; two brothers, Clarence Kassen and Lawrence Kassen; and brothers-in-law, Victor Schmidt, Frank Meier, and Harry Geissert.
Mrs. Middendorff was a cook for Clinton Manor, Trenton House, and Little’s Restaurant. She was a member of St. George Parish in New Baden.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at St. George Catholic Church in New Baden with Rev. Gene Neff officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in New Baden.
Friends may call from 8 a.m. until time of service Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at St. George Catholic Church in New Baden.
