Arthur M. "Art" Fuehne, 73, of Damiansville, died Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville. He was born April 12, 1936 in Damiansville, son of Martin and Emma (Rensing) Fuehne. He married Patricia J. "Pat" Henrichs on August 23, 1960 in St. Rose and she survives in Damiansville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Marvin (Donna) Fuehne of Damiansville, Sue (Alan) Loepker of Albers, Roger (Charity) Fuehne of Albers and Paul (Beth) Fuehne of Damiansville; eleven grandchildren, Lindsey (Robert), Crystal, Shannon, Michelle, Cambrin, Cal, Dylan, Savannah, Brittany, Brandon and Jacob; two sisters, Linda Kues of Aviston and Viola "Ollie" Litteken of Trenton; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gervase & Dolores Henrichs of St. Rose, Mary Jane & Ralph Von Bokel of Breese, Roger & Lorraine Henrichs of St. Rose, Ruth Ann & Art Rensing of New Douglas, and Jim & Carol Henrichs of Highland. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Erwin F. "Bud" Fuehne and Herbert Fuehne; two sisters, Regina Eversgerd and Clare Gebke; and brothers-in-law, Theodore "Dick" Kues, Dave Litteken, Henry Eversgerd, Norbert Gebke and a sister-in-law, Helen Fuehne. Mr. Fuehne was a farmer. He was a member of St. Damian Parish and Men’s Sodality in Damiansville, the American Legion Post 1026, and the Clinton County Farm Bureau. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at St. Damian Catholic Church in Damiansville with Msgr. Donald Eichenseer officiating. Burial will follow at St. Damian Cemetery in Damiansville. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, August 21, 2009 and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m., Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Hempen Funeral Home in Albers. Memorials may be made to St. Damian Parish and will be received at the funeral home.
