Gary Lee Haas Sr.

Gary Lee Haas, Sr., 64, of Mascoutah, died Monday, November 9, 2015 at his home. He was born February 1, 1951 in Belleville, the son of Theodore Alfred and Lorene I. (Lindner) Haas. He married Ada Carol Humphries on March 27, 1971 and she preceded him in death on December 22, 2000.

Gary is survived by his children, Richard Haas, Gary Haas, Jr., and Wendy Toombs; his parents, Theodore and Lorene Haas of Mascoutah; four grandchildren, Samantha Haas, Matthew Haas, Trevor Toombs, and Chastity Toombs; and a sister, Jerri (Charles) Strate.

In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by a grandson, David Haas.

Mr. Haas was a janitor at Mascoutah High School and a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah. He enjoyed hunting, trapshooting, and riding his Harley.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Nordike Funeral Home in New Baden with Pastor Hugh Fitz officiating. Burial will follow at Greenmount Cemetery in New Baden.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of services on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Nordike Funeral Home in New Baden.
