Genevieve J."Jenny" Lueke

Genevieve J. “Jenny” Lueke, 90, of Aviston, died on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Aviston Countryside Manor. She was born January 1, 1927 in Aviston, daughter of Joseph B. and Katherine (Schmuck) Lueke.

She is survived by her brother, Joseph A. Lueke of Aviston; and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Before her retirement, Ms. Lueke was a nurse for St. Joseph Hospital in Highland for 25 years. She was a member of St. Francis Parish and Altar Sodality. Jenny enjoyed piecing quilts and over the years she has made many quilts for St. Francis Parish.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 25, 2017 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Aviston with Rev. Dan Friedman officiating. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery in Aviston.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Monday at St. Francis Catholic Church in Aviston.

Memorials may be made to the Poor Clare’s in Belleville and will be received at Nordike Funeral Home.
