Geraldine A. Strotheide

Geraldine A. Strotheide, 73, of Carlyle, died on Monday, June 24, 2019 at the Carlyle Healthcare Center. She was born on March 10, 1946 in Breese, daughter of Ralph Conrad and Almeda Catherine (Lappe) Strotheide.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother,
Leroy Strotheide, and his wife, Jane.

She is survived by nieces, Joyce, Brenda and Sharon Strotheide, of Carlyle, Janet (Paul) Pitt of Beckemeyer and nephew, Brian (Lucie) Strotheide of Edwardsville.

She is survived by great nieces and nephews, Crystal and Chelsey Strotheide, Josh, Eric, Tim, Justin and Jennifer Pitt, Benjamin and Madison Strotheide and great-great nieces and nephews, Halie, Kylie and Josh Jr. Pitt.

Ms. Strotheide was a homemaker, worked on the family farm and a caregiver to her parents. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Breese.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at St. John United Church of Christ in Breese. Interment will be take place on Friday at St. John Cemetery in Breese.

Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. until time of service at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday at St. John United Church of Christ in Breese.

Memorials may be made to St. John United Church of Christ in Breese or St. Paul United Church of Christ in Jamestown and will be received at church or at Nordike Funeral Home in Breese.
