William D. “Bill” Gonzalez, 61, of Belleville, died Monday, January 26, 2009 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville. He was born September 11, 1947 in Phoenix, AZ, son of William and B. Colleen (Harris) Gonzalez. He married Rita O’Haran July 5, 2003 and she survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Gonzalez and Billie Joyce Gonzalez; two step-sons, Bob (Sandi) Cunningham of O’Fallon and Chris (Jen) White of Fairview Heights; two step-grandchildren, Tyler White and Shannon Cunningham; a sister, Sharon Gonzalez of Roxana; a brother, James (Chris) Gonzalez of Belleville; three sisters-in-law, Mary Morstain, Margaret Hebrank and Mickey O’Haran all of Highland; a brother-in-law, Patrick Godsil of Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers-in-law, Richard Hebrank and Gene Morstain and a sister-in-law, Patricia Godsil. Mr. Gonzalez was a receiving supervisor for Triad Manufacturing. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 29, 2009 at Hempen Funeral Home in New Baden with Rev. Eugene Neff officiating. Private burial of Cremains will be held at a later date. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2009 and from 8 a.m. until time of service Thursday, January 29, 2009 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and will be received at the funeral home.
