Gordon, Constance

Constance P. "Connie" Gordon, 74 of O’Fallon, died Friday, January 29, 2010 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville.. She was born March 1, 1935 in Morristown, NJ, daughter of John W. & Marnie (Hamilton) Bowker. She married John C. "Jack" Gordon December 9, 1967 in Morristown, NJ and he preceded her in death on November 11, 1980. Mrs. Gordon is survived by two daughters, Jackie (Tom) Bergfeld of Shiloh and Patricia M. Gordon of Cherry Hill, NJ; two grandchildren, Jake Bergfeld and Lauren Bergfeld; and a brother, Miles Bowker of Greensboro, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Hamilton Bowker, and a grandson, James P. Boyle in infancy. Mrs. Gordon was a homemaker. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Hempen Funeral Home in New Baden with Rev. Von Deeke officiating. Friends may call from 12 noon until 1 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation and will be received at the funeral home.
