Grawe, Theresa

Theresa A. Grawe, 97, of Breese, died Sunday, December 21, 2008 at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese. She was born January 24, 1911 in Carlyle, daughter of Jacob and Mary (Meisner) Kleber. She married Henry "Hank" Grawe February 20, 1941 in Carlyle and he preceded her in death September 28, 1997. Mrs. Grawe is survived by her children, Frank (Ruth) Grawe, Tom (Barb) Grawe all of Breese, Mary Huelsmann of Trenton and Agnes (Butch) Wellen of Highland; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, a brother, "Pete" Kleber, a son-in-law, Jerry Hollenkamp; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Margaret Kleber, John and Christine Graves, Ben and Carrie Grawe, Ann Fischer, Bill Fischer, Ben Feldman, and "Minn" and Fred Haar.
Mrs. Grawe was a member of St. Augustine Parish and Altar Sodality. She was a homemaker.
A funeral mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese with Rev. Chuck Tuttle officiating. Interment will follow at St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery in Breese. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2008 and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at Hempen Funeral Home in Breese. Memorials may be made to St. Augustine Parish or to the donor’s choice and will be received at the funeral home.
