Veronica "Vera" Grayling, 88, of Centralia, IL, formerly of Albers, IL, died Thursday, April 27, 2006 at Fireside House of Centralia in Centralia, IL. She was born August 23, 1917, in Albers, IL daughter of Ben H. and Helena (Wuebbles) Jansen. She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Viola Jansen of Albers, IL and Ruby Jansen of Centralia, IL, and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Lawrence Jansen, Harry Jansen and Alois Jansen and two sisters, Evelyn Huddleston and Dorothy Stockmann. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary’s Parish in Centralia. A funeral mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, May 1, 2006 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Albers, IL with Msgr. Donald Eichenseer officiating. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Albers, IL. Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2006 and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Monday, May 1, 2006 at Hempen Funeral Home in Albers, IL. Memorials may be made to St. Bernard Church and will be received at the funeral home.
